My Bio
I am an illustrator, both traditional art and digital. Traditionally I work in Watercolor and oils but due to a lack of studio space and proper ventilation, I work primarily in digital mediums these days. Painter XI is my software of choice although I also work in Photoshop or Illustrator if I get a wild hair or I feel like the piece would be serviced better. And yes occasionally I will move furniture and open windows for an afternoon of oil painting.
I pretty much do everything from landscapes, to portraits, but my favorite subjects are often sci-fi and fantasy. I'm also just dorky enough to love comics =)
I'm also an amature photographer. I consider myself amature because I mostly photograph architecture and landscapes while on vacation overseas. These I use for reference for my painting or just for hanging on my wall.

Due to the SERIOUS increase I've seen in digital art theft of my and my artist friends work, I am taking EVERY image in my deviant art down and replacing with Watermarked images. It saddens me that people take advantage of and prey on those of us who are just trying to make a living in a career that is tough to begin with. I realize the largest percentage of this theft is un-prosecutable because the people doing it are in countries like the India, The Philippines, and China. Time Passes

I've been a little out of touch with my deviant art friends, mostly because I've barely kept up with anything in the land of the digital this last year. Much has happened, mostly just living life and trying to figure out what the hell I want and what I actually need. Now I'm back and I have a new direction with my life and my work.
There is a graphic novel I'm working on (the universe finally lit a fire under my ass) and a series of Gallery paintings that I hope will inspire.

Again I have returned to the place where I started. Since his passing, I have thought about the work of Mr Frazetta more and more and how it got me started. How he could convey so much in a piece and tell a story using large areas of flat color only letting the details show in certain spaces on the painting guiding the viewers eye exactly where he wants it. While I wont go back to the blatant cloning I did when I was much younger I think there is still much to learn from Mr Frazetta about simplifying my work and making it more effective.
